Mrs. Frances Ray (McBroom) Stone, 72, of Woodbury died Feb. 8, 2011. She was born in Cannon County on Sept. 8, 1938. She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Dave "R.D." McBroom.


15 Face Charges Following Recent Incidents
Local law enforcement officers brought charges against 15 people in separate incidents recently.
Schools, Libraries Closing Early Today
Cannon County Schools will be closing today at 1:30 p.m., according to Barbara Parker, Director of Schools. Both the Adams Memorial Libray in Woodbury and the Auburntown Branch Library will close at 1:00 p.m. today due to hazardous weather conditions. Emily Sissom became Tennessee's career leader for 3-pointers with 363 after knocking down five in No. 10-ranked Cannon County's 84-55 win against Forrest, and senior Justin Davenport continued his recent offensive dominance with a 40-point uprising to lead the Lions to a 78-75 win at Robert A. Harris Gymnasium Tuesday night.
