Mrs. Mabel R. (Paschal) Carter formerly of Woodbury died Jan. 11, 2010 in Wayne, Michigan. She was born Jan. 20, 1932 in Readyville, TN. Her parents were the late Charlie Joshua Paschal and Eppie Anne (Campbell) Paschal. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Edward Paschal and a sister, Ada Pitts.

Burt began coaching at the age of 15 as a junior pro basketball assistant. At 18, Burt won his first of many championships, leading Woodbury Grammar School to a 31-5 record and won the Class A state championship.
