Wilburn Dean Jones, 91, of Woodbury passed away Monday, March 9, 2026 following an extended illness. Born in Sparta, he was the son of the late Thomas Linville Jones and Lilly Kirpatrick Jones.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Carolyn Burke Jones of Woodbury; his children, Pam (Billy) Sherrell of Woodbury, Keith (Gina) Jones of Wartrace, Charlene (Bobby) Harris, Paula (Mike) Stewart and Deanna (Paul Jones) all of Woodbury and sister, Carmen Yee of AZ. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
A member of the Pentecostal church, Mr. Jones was a barber, owned and operated his own business in McMinnville. He loved to play golf, go bowling and listen to music but most of all spending time with his grandchildren meant the most to him.
His family will receive friends Wednesday, March 11, 2026 from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 12, 2026 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Wes Frazier officiating. Interment will follow in Cherry Cemetery. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
