Katherine Lee Rogers, daughter of Herman Simmons and Roxie Blackman, was born September 26, 1928 and went to be with Jesus, February 10, 2026. She was 97.
She loved animals, especially the wild animals that made the world beautiful as well as cats. She also loved going to Parsley’s for a hamburger. She was a beautiful person with a beautiful soul.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delta Rogers, the father of her children, Thomas Taylor and her son, Mike Taylor.
Ms. Katherine is survived by her daughter, Cathie Taylor (Mike Coleman) of Bradyville, stepsons, Howard (Mattie) Rogers of Readyville and Billy (Teresa) Rogers of FL.; 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren; special friend, Carolyn Jones; and her wonderful caregivers at Grandview living especially her special nurse, Deona Shultz.
A member of the Rock Hill Church of Christ, she was a Cashier at Kent’s Dollar Store for 13 years.
The Rogers family will receive friends, Friday, February 13, 2026 beginning at 10:00 A.M. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. Friday in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Cody Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Coleman cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
