Audrey Jean Aycock Vanatta, 75, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2026 at her home in Woodbury. Born in Bell Co., KY., growing up in KY and MI, she was the daughter of the late William Tyler Aycock and Anna Lee Shell Aycock.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Shearlie “Buddy” Vanatta, her beloved son, Adam Vanatta and her siblings, Lee Schroder, James “Jim” Aycock and Michael Aycock.
Jean is survived by her loving sons, William Aycock and Buddy (Maday) Vanatta both of Franklin, James McFarland of McMinnville; beloved Nanny to Brandon (Heather) Aycock, Delaney Aycock, Kelsie (Caleb) Flemming, Katlyn Hunsinger (J. Mike Burk), Jordan DeAncer, MaKayla Vanatta, Shawna (Austin) Lawson, Adam Vanatta, Dathan Ring and Michael Cole; her sisters, Alice (Bob) Webb, Sabrina (Scott) Doletzky and Karen Ravi all of MI., Ruth Allen of GA., and Betty (Mike) Baker of TN. Also surviving  are 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Jean was a Christian and was retired and dedicated employee Woodbury Nursing Center where she worked for 34 years as a CNA.  She was a wonderful provider for her family and she put everyone’s needs above her own.  She made sure that everyone felt her love whether it be through her wonderful cooking, her hugs, sitting around telling stories or providing a place for everyone to feel welcomed. Even her sons many friends knew they had a home with her. 
The Vanatta family will receive friends Wednesday, February 11, 2026 from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 12, 2026 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Harris officiating.  Interment will follow in the Riverside Gardens.
