Voncile Gaff Brannan, 85, passed away Friday, August 1, 2025 at Woodbury Health and Rehab following an extended illness. She was born in Fitzgerald, GA. and was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Thelma Garrison Gaff.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Harold Brannan of Franklin, NC.; three children, Gail Kovac and Kimberly (Eric, Sr.) Anderson both of Franklin, NC and Glenn (Michelle Browning) Brannan of Woodbury, TN.; five grandchildren, Brad (Amy) Gibson of Okeechobee, FL., Eric Anderson and Chris (Courtney) Anderson of Franklin, NC, Jordan Brannan of Woodbury, TN., and Connor Brannan of Murfreesboro, TN.; two great grandchildren, Blaine (Sydney) Gibson of Okeechobee, FL. and Ryan and Jade Anderson of Franklin, NC.; one great great grandson, Branson Gibson. Also surviving is her sister, Brenda Grady of Homestead., FL.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Rick Gaff, sister, Katherine Carney and grandson, Brian Gibson.
Voncile’s parents moved from Fitzgerald, GA. to Homestead, FL. when she was a young girl. She lived her adult life in Homestead. She worked as a dental assistant and school bus driver until her and her husband opened a foliage nursery. At that time, she managed the office and business of the nursery for many years until her and her husband sold the nursery and retired to Franklin, NC. Since 2023, she has resided in Woodbury with her son, Glenn. Throughout the last few months of illness, she was blessed to have such a wonderful caregiver and friend, Janet Jenkins.
Mrs. Brannan was a member of the Church of Nazarene. A loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother and friend, she believed in hard work, enjoyed working with plants and flowers, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Her family will receive friends after 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 4, 2025 with her funeral services following in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home beginning at 2:00 P.M. Bro. Jeff Hollingshead will officiate. Interment will follow in Riverside Gardens cemetery.
