Thomas Jim Mathis, Sr.

Thomas Jim Mathis, Sr., 56, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010 at Stones River Hospital following a short illness. A native and resident of Woodbury, he was a sawmill worker and member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas G. Mathis. Survivors include his mother, Ella Bailey Mathis of Woodbury; his son, Thomas Jim (Angela) Mathis, Jr. of Woodbury; mother of his son, Mary J. Mathis of Kentucky; three brothers, Wiley Mathis of Beech Grove, and Bobby and Jeffrey Mathis of Woodbury; three sisters, Rita Watts, Nellie Bailey and Tammy Mathis, all of Woodbury; and two grandchildren, Aaron Brewer and Tequila Mathis. At the request of Mr. Mathis there will be no funeral services.
