American Legion Adopts Courthouse Flag Pole

Bobby Ferrell, right, of American Legion Post 279 presents County Executive Mike Gannon with flags to fly over the courthouse.
The new local American Legion Post 279 has adopted the flag pole at the Cannon County Courthouse and will be providing the State of Tennessee and United States of America flags which fly on the pole on the Main Street side of the building.

The two flags currently flying on the pole were flown over the Tennessee State Capitol on April 27, 2010 at the request of Rep. Stratton Bone for American Legion Post 279 and the Cannon County Courthouse.
