Aggravated burglary, drug charges in court



Judge Susan Melton presided over General Sessions Court on Tuesday.  Some of the results of the various cases that appeared on the docket included:

Kenneth Franklin Anderson Jr. agreed to the violation of his probation.  He was ordered to serve his original sentence of 6 months.

Jeffery Banta pled guilty to domestic assault.  He was sentenced to 11 months 29 days in jail.  That sentence was suspended upon equal time on probation and paying the costs.

Allison Winnett Blair's charges of aggravated burglary, possession of burglary tools, possession of legend drugs, theft over $1000.00 possession of marijuana, possession of a schedule IV drug and filing a false report were bound over to the May term of the Grand Jury.

David Brent Haley pled guilty under judicial diversion to possession of marijuana.  He was sentenced to 11 months 29 days on probation, ordered to pay a $250.00 fine and the costs.

Chase Mckinzie Heath's charges of vandalism X2, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage and public intoxication were bound over to the May term of the Grand Jury.

Sean Ryan Lafferty pled guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia.  He was sentenced to 11 months 29 days in jail.  That sentence was suspended upon equal time on probation, paying a $150.00 fine and the costs.

Roxanna Landis agreed to the violation of her probation.   She was ordered to serve her original sentence of 11 months 29 days.

Darian E. Mullen agreed to the violation of his probation.  He was ordered to serve his original sentence of 30 days.

Shantel C. Neel pled guilty to DUI.  She was sentenced to 11 months 29 days in jail.  That sentence was partially suspended upon serving 48 hours in jail, equal time on probation, 24 hours of litter removal, paying a $350.00 fine and the costs.

Misty C. Pickett agreed to the violation of probation.  She was ordered to serve 30 days and her probation was extended 11 months 29 days.

Randall Clark Smotherman agreed to the violation of his probation.  He was ordered to serve 30 days and his probation was extended 10 months 29 days.  In another case Smotherman pled guilty to public intoxication. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail.

Mark Dennis Stepp agreed to the violation of his probation.  He was ordered to serve his original sentence of 30 days.

Shauna Renee Taylor pled guilty to driving without a license.  She was sentenced to 30 days in jail.  That sentence was suspended upon equal time on probation, paying a $2.00 fine and the costs.

Barbara J. Pope pled guilty to driving without a license.  She was sentence to 30 days in jail.  That sentence was suspended upon equal time on probation, paying a $2.00 fine and the costs.

Martha Saylor pled guilty to driving while license revoked 2nd offense.  She was sentenced to 11 months 29 days in jail.

Jason Leath agreed to the violation of his probation.  He was ordered to serve his original sentence of 11 months 29 days.
Cannon County Sheriff's Department

Vandalism: Sgt. Steve McMillen responded to Dunlap Lane for a report of vandalism. A logging skidder, truck, camper and backdoor to the residence had been spray painted with red and white paint.

Trespassing: Sgt. Seth Perry and Deputy Jordan McGee discovered Barry Bynum and Stephanie Mooneyham trespassing after hours at the Cannon County Convenience Center. Both were charged.

Driving on Suspended License:  Sgt. Steve McMillen was patrolling on Ivy Bluff Road when he observed a green Toyota pickup truck being operated on the roadway without a license plate. McMillen stopped the vehicle which was being driven by Michael Ward James. The officer discovered James' license was suspended, so he was charged. He was also issued a citation for failure to carry registration, wheel tax and financial responsibility.

Jeff Andrews was charged with a violation of probation.

Tequilia Miller was served with a warrant charging her with a violation of probation.

Alexander Webb was charged with failure to appear.

Austin C. Heath was charged with a violation of probation.

Shauna Taylor was charged with a violation of probation.

Dustin Alsup was charged with violation of probation.

Richard Brandt was charged with violation of probation.
