The Upperman Bees and Lady Bees are both predicted to be in the state tournament picture come March as the highly ranked teams host the Cannon County Lions and Lionettes tonight in Baxter.
The Lady Bees ranked as high as 2nd in state basketball polls are 18-0 and field a well balanced and talented team while Upperman boys look to stay atop the district standings with the girls team with a win tonight.
The Cannon County Lionettes have shown some growth despite their loss last night to Warren County. The Lionettes were able to keep the game close losing 65-60 to the Lady Pioneers.
The Lions will have to put a stop to their meltdowns in order to have a chance at upsetting Upperman. Cannon let another big lead escape in their loss to Warren County and have now lost two in a row.
