This past Friday Evening, December 4th a fund raiser was held for the Cannon County SAVE Domestic Violence Services.  Kim McCutcheon from Curves along with Chuck Haynes and Ashley Young from Legendary Cuts spearheaded the event.

The event consisted of  local vendors, games, prizes and Santa himself.  Everyone had a great time and through the efforts of numerous local business and individuals (who donated to the cause), Curves and Legendary Cuts, $404.00 was raised for the agency.
  
Everyone at S.A.V.E. is very thankful for all the efforts put forth from each and everyone who assisted in the fund raiser.  The funds raised is a wonderful blessing to our not for profit program.  S.A.V.E. currently receives no state or federal funding and must rely on fund raisers, private donations and local grants to survive.  We are very thankful for the support and dedication the community has shown this program and the individuals and families who rely on us.

All services to clients are free. Services include, but are not limited to, Orders of Protection, counseling, 24 hour crisis line, assistants with food, clothing and seeking transitional housing.  We are diligently working on obtaining a much needed shelter.  Since September 8th 2008, S.A.V.E. has provided services to 228 victims of abuse,  122 children, 97 women, 17 males and 7 senior adults (84 orders of protection).
