Anthony Layton "Crusher" Morris, age 63, a Morrison, TN resident and Woodbury, TN native was born September 16, 1953 and died February 6, 2017 in Vanderbilt University Medical Center following a brief illness.

He was the owner of A&K Termite and Pest Control, a veteran of the United States Army, son of Patricia Jordan Morris of McMinnville and the late Lowell Morris and member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Morris was a member of American Legion Post 173, Shriners, McMinnville Masonic Lodge 125 and Moose Lodge. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by son, Heath Layton "Opie" Morris in 2003; father-in-law, Archie "Wilson" Womack; & mother-in-law, Dorothy Grizzell Womack.

He was married June 29, 1973 to Bernadette Womack Morris who survives. In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by son, Jonathan Lowell Morris of Morrison; daughter and son-in-law, Desiree and Chris Hobbs of McMinnville; grandchildren, Chance and Mia Hobbs; sister and brother-in-law, Kreta and Mike Slatton of McMinnville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lynette Womack and William "Wiggie" Moore; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Lamar Womack and Elvis and Celia Womack; nephews, Scott Moore and wife Jennifer, Ryan Moore and wife Erica, Ethan Womack and Isaac Slatton; nieces, Tara Moore (Kyle DeLong), Katie Beth Womack, Emily Womack and Sally Alexander and husband Tim; great-nephews, Travis, Trevor, Taylor and Charlie Moore and Caney DeLong; and great-nieces, Rylan Faith Moore and Lela Parker DeLong.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Central Church of Christ with Chris Perry and Larry Stanley, Sr. to officiate. Interment will follow in Centertown Cemetery with military grave rites conducted by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at High's.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meals on Wheels, VFW and American Legion Honor Guard, Warren County Basketball 3 Point Club, Warren County Rescue Squad or charity of your choice.
