WPD, CCSD, CCRS receive $10,000 federal grants
Tuesday, November 6, 2018 5:41 pm TENNESSEE - Today, November 6, the Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO) announces $22 million in federal grant funds to be distributed statewide from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for the 2018-2019 Federal Fiscal Year. The Woodbury Police Dept. and the Cannon County Sheriff's Dept. each received $10,000 grants for Alcohol and Impaired Driving Enforcement while the Cannon County Rescue Squad received a $10,000 grant for Emergency Medical Services. Additionally, the Tennessee District Attorney General, 16th Judicial District, which serves both Cannon and Rutherford Counties, received a $202,900 grant for DUI Prosecution.
