Woman Hurls Statue At Daughter’s Boyfriend

Two persons were charged recently with domestic assault in separate incidents.

Sherry Annette Nicholas, 223 Hayes St., Woodbury, was charged with domestic assault on April 6 by Woodbury Police Sgt. John House. Nicholas allegedly caused Clayton Adams to fear imminent bodily injury when she picked up a ceramic Indian statue and threw it at Adams.

The statue hit the wall beside Adams. Adams lives at the residence with his girlfriend, who is Nicholas’ daughter.

Bond was set at $2,500. Initial court date is May 10.

In another case, Dallas Jay Rogers, 125 Orville Duke Rd., Morrison, was charged with domestic assault on April 10 by Cannon County Sheriff's Deputy Travis Turney.

The victim stated Rogers head-butted, spit, elbowed and punched her in the nose during an argument. The victim had visible evidence of a bloody nose and bruising.

Bond was set at $2,500. Initial court date is May 3.
