The lady who had called the police refused to cooperate with Mims' report and eventually went into her home and locked the door. She said she did not need the deputy and would contact the proper department later. Deputy Mims did not see any signs that the lady was being held up and the other people in the home seemed not to be scared or upset. Dispatch informed Deputy Mims that Theresa Columbo had called 911 to report a non-emergency (stolen gun) and been informed to call 563-4322 to report such incidents. This is perhaps what led to the confusion.
