Woman Charged With Pot Possession

Ashley Hope Morgan, 1557 Tassey Road, Readyville, was charged with Simple Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia on Dec. 15. The alleged incident occurred on W. Main St. Morgan allegedly had in her possession marijuana, rolling papers, cut straws with residue and a glass plate. A court summons was issued. Initial court date is Jan. 24.

• Adam Levoy McClure, 626 McFerrin St., Woodbury, was charged with Driving on a Suspended License on Dec. 18 by Cannon County Sheriff’s Deputy Eric Moss. Deputy Moss stopped the vehicle McClure was driving on Jim Cummings Hwy. for having improperly displayed registration. A court summons was issued. Initial court date is Feb. 7.

• Mark Duane Melton, 918 Trail St., Woodbury, was charged with Domestic Assault on Dec. 17. Melton allegedly threw the purported victim on the floor, against the fire place, and also threw a dog crate at her. The victim reportedly received scratches to both forearm during the incident. Melton’s bond was set at $2,000. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Jan. 24.

• Jeremy Dean Sissom, 319 Jay Circle, Woodbury, was charged with Violation of an Order of Protection on Dec. 15. Sissom allegedly appeared at the school of and had contact with the minor child of the protected petitioner of the protection order. The alleged violation was observed by at least one witness. Bond was set at $20,000. Initial court date is Feb. 21.
