A quick transition from rain, to freezing rain, to sleet/snow, and then snow from west to east across Middle Tennessee as the day progresses. Snowfall accumulations of 1 to 3 inches possible. Ice accumulations of one tenth to two tenths possible. Temperatures falling through the day with highs ranging from near 30 northwest to around 50 across the plateau.

Friday

Rain before noon, then rain, snow, freezing rain, and sleet between noon and 3pm, then snow and freezing rain after 3pm. Temperature falling to around 28 by 5pm. Northwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Friday Night
Snow, mainly before midnight. Low around 21. North northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Saturday
Mostly cloudy, with a high near 27. North wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
