William Ray Barrett, 68, died Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Stones River Hospital following an extended illness.

A resident of Woodbury, he was a native of Davidson County.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Raymond H. and Anna Bell Campbell Barrett; wife, Shirley Barrett and step grandson, Aaron Singleton.

Survivors include:

Daughter: Gail Lloyd of Woodbury.

Son and daughter-in-law: David and Jennifer Barrett of Bradyville.

Grandchildren: Tiffany and Natosha Barrett of Bradyville.

Stepchildren: Deborah (Glenn) Stone, Karen Matheny and Patty (Robert) Singleton, all of  Woodbury.

Step grandchildren:  Chris, Justin and Corey Stone, Holly Pakrer, Daniel & Amber Matheny, Lisa Wimberly and Bobby Singleton.

Also surviving are 10 step great grandchildren.

He was a member of the Pentecostal Church and was a retired Diesel Mechanic.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at  3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 13, 2010 with Bro. Kenneth Hale and Bro. Ricky Clouse officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 13, 2010 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Woodbury Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
