Doug Combs, owner of WBRY Radio, is leaving day-to-day operations at the station to become vice president of the Tennessee Association of Broadcasters, the Cannon Courier has learned. Combs made the announcement at Thursday's Cannon County Chamber of Commerce Banquet.

This is a very prestigious position for Combs. It is also a paid position and he will no longer be able to oversee the daily operations of his radio station. This puts him in a very important position for the broadcasters in Tennessee. He will be in Nashville, but his job will take him to the Nation’s Capitol frequently.
