Waymon Hugh Curtiss

(September 18, 1952 - September 24, 2016)

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Waymon Hugh Curtiss, age 64, was born September 18, 1952 and died September 24, 2016 at Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville, TN following an extended illness.

A self-employed contractor and farmer, he was the son of the late Waymon Eugene and Bonita Cain Curtiss. Mr. Curtiss was a member of Hebron Church of Christ and also regularly attended the Smith Grove Church of Christ in Cannon County.

Mr. Curtiss is survived by a son, Dustin Curtiss of Sevierville, TN; daughter, Christina Farley of Sevierville, TN; sisters, Molly Dearing Schoenauer of Fairfax, VA and Nancy (Samuel) Hitchcock of Rock Island, TN; special friends, Gerlinde and Collier Rogers and Shanna McCormick all of Rock Island, TN; Marshall and Donna Williams of Woodbury, TN and Terry and Linda Henderson of Morrison, TN; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2016 in High's Chapel with Al Bugg, Jr. and Marshall Williams officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Tuesday in High's Chapel. A family burial will be at Philadelphia Cemetery in Grundy County, TN. Full military honors will be administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173 at the funeral home immediately following the memorial service.
