Veterans And Concerned Citizens Meeting Aug. 11

The first meeting of The Veterans And Concerned Citizens for the Veterans of Cannon County will meet Thursday, August 11, 2011, at the Senior Citizens Center in Woodbury, at 6:30 PM.

This meeting will focus on our plan of attack for the Veterans Day Program at Cannon County High School on Friday, November 11, 2011; and our Veterans Day Parade to Honor our Veterans on Saturday, November 12, 2011. We will also have our Special Ceremony in Front of the Court House at 11:00 AM, Saturday, where we read the names of the 61 men of Cannon County who gave there lives for this great country. We owe a great deal of gratitude to these men and their families.

If you would like to be part of a good thing-come on out- we need you This will be our 19th year working with CCHS faculty, staff, and students honoring our veterans. This is the greatest country on this earth, because our young men and women are willing to step up and serve, and if the need be, to give their lives, to protect this great country,the United States of America. God bless you and God bless this great country, and God bless our men and women serving, and who have served, in our military forces.
