On Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at approximately 11:05 p.m., officers with the Woodbury Police Dept. responded to an alarm call at Woodson’s Pharmacy at 304 W. Main St.

When Officer Lowell Womack arrived and checked behind the building he found a male subject lying on the ground face down.

When Officer Womack ordered the suspect up he found him lying on several burglary tools and a duffel bag containing tools as well which had been used to try and take the door off.

The man was identified as 28-year-old Steven Vest of 203 E. Water St., Woodbury.

Vest was charged with Attempted Burglary, Possession of Burglary Tools and another case involving theft of a cell phone earlier in June.

"These officers are to be commended for their swift response and apprehension of this suspect," Woodbury Police Chief Tony Burnett said.

Involved in the arrest were Officers Lowell Womack, Sgt. Kevin Mooneyham, Chris Brown, Brent Brock and Chief Tony Burnett.
