Two Meth Cases Bound Over To Grand Jury



Judge Susan Melton presided over General Sessions Court on Tuesday.  Some of the results of the various cases that appeared on the docket included:

• Kenneth Franklin Anderson Jr’s charge of initiating the process to manufacture methamphetamine was bound over to the September term of the Grand Jury.

• Timothy Mears’ charge of initiating the process to manufacture methamphetamine was bound over to the September term of the Grand Jury.

• Abdul K. Alataby pled guilty to reckless endangerment. He was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in jail.  That sentence was partially suspended upon serving 5 days, equal time on probation, attending DUI safety school, paying a $525.00 fine and the costs. In another case Alataby pled guilty to violation of the implied consent law.  He was ordered to lose his license for one year.

• Steven J. Ballard agreed to the violation of his probation. He was ordered to serve 60 days and his probation was extended 3 months. In another case Ballard pled guilty to driving on a suspended license.  He was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in jail. That sentence was partially suspended upon serving 60 days 9 months 29 days on probation, and paying the costs. In another case Ballard pled guilty to criminal impersonation.  He was sentenced to 6 months in jail. That sentence was suspended upon equal time on probation and paying the costs.

• Glenn Lawrence Brannan’s charge of offensive touching was retired for 11 months, 29 days. He was ordered to pay the costs and submit to a Domestic Violence Inventory (DVI) assessment.

• Roy Michael Foust agreed to the revocation of his probation and was ordered to serve his original sentence.

• Julia Hazard’s charge of offensive touching was retired for 11 months, 29 days. She was ordered to pay the costs and submit to a DVI assessment.

• Adam Levoy McClure pled guilty to driving on a suspended license 2nd offense or more. He was sentenced to 11 months 29 days in jail. That sentence was suspended upon equal time on probation, paying a $50.00 fine and the costs.

• Brittney Faye Tenpenny agreed to the revocation of her probation. She was ordered to serve 30 days and her probation was extended 4 months.

• James L. Turner pled guilty to domestic assault. He was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in jail. That sentence was suspended upon equal time on probation, submitting to a DVI assessment, and paying the costs.
