Two Face Domestic Assault Charges



Two Cannon County men are facing domestic assault charges stemming from recent separate incident.

Jonathan Kestner, of Woodbury, was charged with domestic assault with bodily injury by Woodbury Patrolman Chris Brown following a March 4 incident. Kestner allegedly hit the victim causing her nose to bleed and injurinh her shoulder.

Kestner’s bond was set at $2,500. Initial court date is April 5.

In the other case, Phillip Mark Adams, of Woodbury, was arrested by Cannon County Sheriff’s Deputy Tommy Barker on March 5 after the victim of the alleged domestic assault swore out a warrant.

Adams allegedly became upset on March 4 and started to destroy the couple’s residence, throwing belongings into a creek and breaking furniture. He also disabled the phone and electricity. When the victim and the couple’s daughter tried to leave the residence, Adams jumped on the hood of the vehicle and struck the windshield twice with his fist, placing the victim in fear of imminent bodily injury.

Bond for Adams was set at $2,500. Initial court date is April 5.
