Cannon County Sheriff's deputies Matthew Parsley, Steve McMillen and Seth Perry were sitting stationary on Jim Cummings Hwy. (State Route 53) on Nov. 27 when they observed two vehicles traveling north at a high rate of speed.

Deputy Parsley locked his radar unit onto the speeding vehicles at 106 mph. Violating vehicles were stopped and both drivers didn't have an excuse for their excessive speed.

Timothy Alan Haley was written citations for Drag Racing, Speeding and Reckless Driving. Brandon Richardson was written citations for Drag Racing, Speeding, Reckless Driving and failure to provide Financial Responsibility.
