Two arrested on meth charges

Two Bradyville residents were arrested by Murfreesboro Police on meth charges.
Kenneth Franklin Anderson Jr., 40, and Jacqueline Lynn Barrett, 35, face charges of initiating the process to produce methamphetmine, possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana possession.
Acting on a tip, Murfreesboro Police knocked on the door of a Ewing Boulevard home. Anderson reportedly invited the officers in, then fled.
Officer caught the suspect after he had thrown down a bottle containing meth-making materials. A search of the home also discovered ingredients used in meth production.
Anderson was also charged with fleeing and resisting arrest along with tampering with evidence.
Police said Anderson is also facing two felony warrants in Cannon County.


A suspect is in custody following a two-hour standoff with Rutherford County Sheriff's Department Thursday morning.
According to Rutherford County sheriff's deputies, the standoff occurred at an apartment on High Meadow Drive off Gresham Lane.
The man also tried to remove a tattoo on his arm with the knife, according to WGNS Radio.
The suspect has been identified as 42-year-old Christopher Coelho. Officers found a 22-caliber semi-automatic rifle and two large survival knives in his apartment.
Authorities said Coelho was wanted in Cannon County for violating his probation.
He was extremely intoxicated at the time of his arrest and taken to Middle Tennessee Medical Center for treatment. When he is released he will be booked into Rutherford County jail where he will be held on the Cannon County charges.

A Warren County brother and sister were arrested by the Cannon County Sheriff's Department and charged with the theft of a truck transmission.
Charged with theft over $500 were Steven Dale Koontz and Crystal Lee Dillon.
"The original warrant was taken out on Samuel Rennison for a theft that occurred at Jerry Pelham's Auto Salvage on 9 August, 2012. It was later learned that Mr. Rennison could not have taken the transmission because he was in prison at Limestone Correctional facility," reported Investigator Anthony Young.
"During the investigation, it was learned that Mr. Koontz and his sister, Crystal Dillon, had access to Mr. Rennison's personal information and they were developed as suspects in this theft," Young said. Dillon is Rennison's ex-wife.

Charles Luebbe was charged with aggravated domestic assault, resisting arrest and assault on a law enforcement officer following a Christmas Eve incident on Popular Bluff Road East.

Jeffrey Christy was charged with public intoxication and aggravated burglary following an incident on Jim Perkins Road. Deputy Reed Bryson discovered Christy in the yard of a residence on Jim Perkins laying next to a shed. "As I walked closer to Jeffrey I saw that he had a laceration to his left eye and dried blood on his head and shirt," Bryson reported. An ambulance was dispatched to check on Christy's condition. While the EMS was en route, the suspect said a resident of a nearby house had hit him in the head with a hammer. Christy confessed running into the neighbor's house "like a bull and the next thing I known I'm standing there and didn't know what happened." Christy was then transported to Stones River Hospital's emergency room where the laceration was stitched up and then to the Cannon County Jail.

Elijah Althern was charged with domestic assault following an argument over a television set on Jim Cummings Highway.
