'Turkey Tee Off' To Benefit Child Advocacy Center



WOODBURY – Golfers may compete in the annual “Turkey Tee Off” ” to benefit the Cannon County Child Advocacy Center on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 8 a.m. at Cedar Crest Golf Course in Murfreesboro.

Phillip and Steven Smith and Smith’s Painting are hosting the 1st Annual “Turkey Tee Off.” They need help to make the “Turkey Tee Off” a huge success.  

Levels of event sponsorship range from $50 to $2,500.  For $50 your business can have a tee box sign.  For $60, an individual can golf. For $240, you can be a team captain for a team of four golfers. For $2,500, your business can be one of the presenting sponsors for the golf tournament.  All contributions from Cannon County will benefit the Cannon County Child Advocacy Center.
 
 “The ‘Turkey Tee Off’ is a wonderful way for our community to come together and show their support of child abuse victims,” said Phillip Smith. “Our hope is that through this event, more families will learn about the services available and seek help for their children.”

Child abuse affects a significant number of children in our community.  In the last 6 years, the Child Protective Investigative Team, which consists of the Cannon County Child Advocacy Center, the Department of Children’s Services, law enforcement, and the District Attorney’s Office, have worked together to investigate and prosecute over 400 child abuse, child sexual abuse, and drug endangered children cases in Cannon County.
