MURFREESBORO – $1,000 of prizes ranging from $400 to $100 will be awarded to the top four winning teams for the “Turkey Tee Off” on Saturday, Nov. 12 at Cedar Crest Golf Course.

Sponsors Phillip and Steven Smith and Smith’s Painting announced the Turkey Tee Off Prizes today.  The following are the prizes for Saturday’s golf tournament:

1st Place Team — $400
2nd Place Team — $300
3rd Place Team — $200
4th Place Team — $100
    
The “Turkey Tee Off” golf tournament will benefit the Cannon County Child Advocacy Center.  Registration will be held from 8 to 9 a.m. with the tee off beginning at 9 a.m.

Child abuse affects a significant number of children in our community.  In the last 11 years, the Child Protective Investigative Team, which consists of the Child Advocacy Center, the Department of Children’s Services, law enforcement, and the District Attorney’s Office, have worked together to investigate and prosecute over 7,000 child abuse, child sexual abuse, and drug endangered children cases in Rutherford and Cannon Counties.

Executive Director Sharon De Boer, said, “The Child Advocacy Center is very grateful to Phillip and Steven Smith and Smith’s Painting for sponsoring this event supporting the Child Advocacy Center and the children and families we serve.”
