TTU Scholarship Deadline Is Tuesday

COOKEVILLE — Cannon County students are reminded not to miss the Dec. 15 scholarship deadline at Tennessee Tech University.

To be eligible for any scholarship for the 2010-2011 school year, students must apply for admission and apply for scholarships on or before Dec. 15.

“Submitting one scholarship application makes students eligible for all Tennessee Tech scholarships for which they meet the criteria,” said Kelly Chambers, TTU scholarship manager. “They do not have to apply for each scholarship individually.”

To apply, visit the scholarships web site at www.tntech.edu/scholarships. New and currently enrolled students may apply online using ScholarWeb.

Once students apply for admission, they will be assigned a Tennessee Tech ID Number, known as a T-Number. Students must use this T-Number to apply for scholarships online.

If you prefer to fill out the paper application, visit www.tntech.edu/scholarships/forms.

Some departments require additional forms for scholarship consideration, so be sure to review the checklist for your major to see if you have any additional forms to submit at www.tntech.edu/scholarships/checklists.

Last year, more than 2,000 Tennessee Tech incoming and current students received more than $5 million in academic and departmental scholarships, excluding the Tennessee Education Lottery Scholarship.
