Trouble At Tribbles Brings Charges

Some days it just doesn't pay to get out bed, as a local mother discovered recently.

Deputy Randy Neal was dispatched to 186 Cobb Lane on March 11 for a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival he spoke with Amy Tribble, who stated her son woke up mad that morning.

Amy Tribble said her son, Devon Tribble, started yelling at her and said he was going to throw coke (soft drink) on her and said Devon did throw the coke on her and all over the end table.

Amy said Devon then got up from his chair and hit the TV with his fist, causing damage to the set. Amy then called 911 for help and at that time Devon ran out of the house.

Devon was not at home upon the deputy’s arrival or while he was interviewing Amy, so he left the residence.

While he was on his way back to the sheriff’s department, Deputy Neal was dispatched back to 186 Cobb Lane because Devon had returned and resumed yelling at his mother.

Upon his return Deputy Neal saw Devon outside of the residence and asked him what was going on. Devon stated he wanted his mother to leave the residence because he did not want her there.

Deputy Neal again spoke with Amy, who said when Devon came back to the house he locked the door and she could not get back inside.

After speaking with both subjects, Devon Tribble was placed under arrest and taken to the sheriff’s department. He is charged with domestic assault and vandalism. Bond was set at $4,500. Initial court date is April 5.
