I laughed so hard at our recent Family Fun Fest at our Short Mountain Trading Post that when I took a deep breath for air, I think I swallowed ( a quick interlude: ) I remember one time I was preparing a gigantic corningware casserole dish full of baked beans to perfection for our church Yep....baked beans lined my oven from top to bottom including all the glass from the bake ware that was marked oven-proof. We had to hurry onto to church....and the mess awaited me when I got home !! My two sons and hubby laughed at such a OK, back to the Family Fest Day. Lisa Wisdom who has the last booth on the left features gorgeous handcrafted jewelry. Her prices are unbelievably reasonable considering all the artistic labor that she puts into all of it. On top of that, she has the most absolutely wonderful stained glass pieces. Special orders are accepted. I am having her make me a frosted rose piece to hang in my living room window. I am very impressed with her work. She was so excited when she sold her I reminded her of Rocky the Raccoon who inhabits the Barn on a daily basis. He has been known to consume several bars of homemade soaps from the Krafty Kitten Booth, Savannah's Loft Styrofoam Christmas ornaments and several scented candles. Now, the earrings are another thing: an all out bulletin is posted throughout the area: If Large Male Raccoon with Earrings is spotted...please notify the Trading Post ASAP !! Another couple came into the Loft and asked if I ever have found a tomato masher....a back in the day one....She already had searched the entire kitchen area for one of them....so, after I had her explain exactly what she was looking for....I simply walked over to the kitchen wall and found one. Her leaps of joy were overwhelming and after she had looked in every antique shop in the area....she said it just made her day to have me find it. Along with the fact that it only cost: $6.....her day was perfect !! She celebrated with another angus hotdog and beans. A return antique dealer was very exasperated over the fact that she could not find an antique oval wood frame anywhere. Whoops...looks like Savannah had another hit in the Loft !! And another very happy customer !! We now have men's camouflage boots and jackets for sale at extremely good prices. Don't miss out. Our next event is scheduled for Saturday October 10 from 10 to 5.
