EUREKA! We finally have a date set for our first Family Fun Flea Market Day! It is Saturday, May 2nd from 10 to 5. What this means is that there will be a multitude of tables and canopies full of goodies for sale of all nature. Something for everyone. Furniture, tools, books, records, housewares, toys, china, pictures, pottery, signs, jewelry, plants, jellies and jams, fresh baked breads and more! On top of that, Savannah's Loft will be hosting a huge sale and you are guaranteed to go home with a treasure from there! The Barn looks great and fresh with new décor. Chef JD will offer free hotdogs and drinks to everyone who attends. Raffle tickets will also be for sale for chances to win some great items! Collect your Barn Bucks!

Sound like fun! Now, if the weather co-operates , we are in! A rain date will be for the following Saturday, May 9th just in case.
Also bring your cameras for some terrific pictures of the Barn and surrounding grounds.

Call me and sign up now for your free space in the market: 615-464-7824. If I don't answer right away, please leave a message and I will call you back as soon as possible. You still have a month from now to collect items to sell, so join us and have fun and make money at the same time!
We are looking for fresh eggs and vegetables also to be sold at this event. So, give me a call.

Presently, the Trading Post is open: Thursday thru Saturday from 10 to 5. As always, depends on weather, but I think we have more pleasant days heading our way so c'mon in! Make sure you visit the Distillery also. The Restaurant is soon to open so watch their face book page for details.
Uncle Festus and Aunt Martha are at it again. After losing some weight, Martha brags to Festus how great she looks and how men are admiring her. She told Festus that he better shape up or someone else is going to snap her up. He said, You're so old, Martha, that when you get lucky, it means that you found your car in the parking lot! She said, Well, if you don't like the way I drive, stay off the sidewalk!" Festus told her , Martha, you have lost so much weight, that your chin hairs are stray eyebrows! Martha told him that if he can't be a good example, you'll just have to be a horrible warning! You have OCD and ADD.

So everything has to be perfect, but not for very long! And, the way you drink, why, the last mosquito that bit you had a hangover for a week!
Oh my, you two, and the beat goes on! All I know, is that we all come with a little baggage. It's only a normal thing. It's those who come with a deluxe set of Samsonite that you have to watch out for! Just make peace with your past, so it won't mess up your future. When in doubt, make your next step a small one. And above all, don't compare your life to others. You have not idea what their journey is all about. The only time you should look down on someone is when you are bending down to offer them your hand.

Gotta run for now, my friends. Remember to mark May 2 on your calendar as a fun family day in the country at the Short Mountain Trading Post. Chat with you next week and as always, take care of each other and smile.

Hugs, Savannah
