Trading Post Chat

BY SAVANNAH CUNNICK

Well, Hello Sunshine! And a warm pleasant day at that! St. Patrick's Day was last week so I hope all of you were awearin' the green!
Before long, tons of activities and events will be going on all around us. We have a busy community and the fellowship is fantastic! Speaking of which, our Short Mountain Trading Post is going full blast! Vendors are clamoring to redecorate their booths and stock new merchandise. It's looking really good! We have plans to be open Thursday thru Saturday every week from 10 to 5. As long as the weather is kind to us, we are back on schedule.

We have created a new fun program for all our customers. It is the Barn Buck bargain coupon. You will be handed a Barn Buck and for every purchase of $10 and over, you will get a hole punched in your Buck. After you earn five punches, you redeem it for $10 toward your next purchase. The vendor participants in this program are: Savannah's Loft, The Owl Nest, Southern Wisdom, The Krafty Kitten, Grandma's Comforts and Artsy Annie's. These booths are stocked full of antiques, collectibles, jewelry and crafts. You are bound to find something you can't live without among all of that!

Reminding all of you about the monthly Family Flea Markets coming up. Register for your free booth space by calling me at 615-464-7824 or emailing me at Savannahshop@gmail.com. You are responsible for your own tables and if you have a canopy, even better! The date of our first event is yet to be announced as we want the weather to be factored in. Will let you know soon. Also, anyone wishing to be a participant in our Thursday Farmers Market please call me as well. Starting date will be soon. So call and reserve your free spot! Also, if you have a unique craft, yard art , furniture or collectibles we have permanent booth space inside barn. Filling up fast!

I saw Uncle Festus yesterday and he said his neck hurt. I said. Why? He said, Well, yours would too if you had three brother-in-laws who stood 6'7, 6'8 and 6'9, and you had to carry on an hour conversation looking up at them! (usually, he complains of a whiplash from staring at all the pretty girls!)

My Aunt Jessie and Uncle Clem just celebrated their 81st anniversary! She claims the secret to being wed for so long is she always let him have my way. Way to go, Jessie. I think you've had the right idea all along! Actually, I think Snow White had the right idea. She moved in with seven guys who went to work everyday and all she had to do was whistle to get the birds to do the cleaning!

Aunt Clara finally got the knack for losing weight. She avoids things that make her look fat, like scales, mirrors and photographs! And when she gets a headache she takes two asprin and keeps away from children like the label says.

Cousin Clyde said he had to return a bedspread to Bed Bugs and Beyond. Ya' know, if this family can't put a smile on my face, then my skin is too tight!

Ok folks, I am going to sign off for now.Just remember to behave yourselves, be nice to your neighbors, enjoy your family and remember even the tiniest force in the universe can be a shining star!

Chat with you next week and soak in all the sunshine you can get!
Hugs, Savannah
