What a gorgeous day, Folks!! I will admit that I was lured into yard work and I will admit that everything turned out beautiful! It was so refreshing to take a day and repair my landscaping, get some fresh air and think of nothing else!! I hope you all enjoyed it as well! Sometimes, ya' just gotta take time to do such a thing!

OK, back to the Short Mountain Trading Post and our news from the past week. I had a delightful lady from Florida who bought many primitive antique pieces for her home. No Kidding, she is decorating her home with Tennessee treasures and making a special peaceful mountain feeling that she can enjoy forever. What a compliment that she chose to gather the goods from our barn. You go, Girl!!

My Uncle Festus called me the other day and told me his "fish" had epilepsy. He was so upset, that I went over to his house. I looked at the fish happily swimming in his bowl and said that his fish looked fine to me. He said: Well, I haven't taken it out of his bowl yet! (Are you kidding me?)

At the same time, his brother Bubba contacted me and said that his dog was missing. I said to place an ad in the paper. He said he did already. I asked him what the ad said and he had put : Here Boy !! (Can somebody help me here?)

The latest situation is my brother, Jeb, decided to move to California and work on a fishing boat. His side job is to assist folks on a scuba diving adventure. One customer asked Jeb: Why do scuba divers fall backwards off their boats? He simply said: Because if they fell forward, they would land in the boat!

Well, that's about as bad, as hearing about his buddy Jake who at one time had a washboard stomach that has since turned into a washrag. From what I understand, his wife's muffin top is now a cake.. What is that? Well, what do you expect? They are both in their 90's and still happy and living the life!! They love coming into the barn and checking it all out. Great couple!

Hey Gang, my back is now talking to me....too much yard work, apply heat and tell everybody to make their own dinner tonight. Remember that the flowers of all tomorrows are the seeds of today. Love your family and friends and be thankful for what you have! It's always so great to chat with all of you.

See you next week. Hugs, Savannah
