Holy cow...I can't begin to tell you everything that is going on!! Presently, I am writing my article awaiting the predicted tornado coming through.

Sparta had some rough weather...but, that was just the first wave. They always say that your animals will predict threatening weather...well, is yourfirst clue when all four of your cats AND dog are glued to your bed in front of the weather channel? Yep, it got MY attention! I will fill you in next week on what happens.

Now, my grandpa has started in again about leaving town and getting out on his own. The only thing that seems to be holding him back is that by the time he puts in his teeth, his glasses on and finds his keys, he forgets why he's going. The rest of the family is just as nuts....because gardens are being planted, warm weather is on the rise and family reunion comes in July. Can I skip that part?

Anyway, the Short Mountain Trading Post is picking up speed and summer plans are on the way. Last weekend the Short Mountain Distillery had a fantastic second year anniversary festival. A new flavor of moonshine was introduced along with fab music, food and more. The mules plowing the field was most impressive and how gorgeous are those animals, Folks. It was fun for all and many visitors also came to the Trading Post. A best seller was our jellies and jams, plants and furniture.

Other than that,  we just have a great time chatting with everyone from all over the world. I had a wonderful gentleman from Great Britain who was delightful. He was explaining his money versus the US money and even gave me some coins. Very interesting. He picked up a small brandy sniffer and I asked him if he was a brandy drinker. He said, By all means, so I gave it to him for a gift and I got a sweet British kiss and hug.

And, that's what it's all about folks. Like I always tell you: Give and you will receive.

All of our visitors were so special this week. Please take a little break from your busy days and come join us at the Post. Thurdays thru Saturday 10:00 to 5:00.

My girlfriend who you remember called the Maytag man last month, finally came up with the quick lose the weight solution: put ourselves in a dryer for 10 minutes and come out wrinkle free, back to our original shape 3 sizes smaller and smelling April fresh.

Ahhhh....can I sign off for now on that one? Have a great week, Folks. Love each other. Don't judge quickly. Smile.
Hugs, Savannah
