Guess What....today is St. Patty's Day but you will not be reading this until next week. I just wanted you to know that my family does celebrate this special day and have had a forever amount of good times doing so. My mother's side of the family is Irish and my husband's family is Welsh. Yep...close enough!!

Up until a few years ago, we would take my mother to an Irish Festival every year. The music and the food was wonderful. River Dancing and Irish song was everywhere. What an interesting and happy culture the Irish are blessed with!!

The Short Mountain Trading Post has been busy with new visitors and returning ones!! This past week end was gorgeous and everyone was out on the road searching out all the local attractions. We were most fortunate to entertain folks from the state of Maine who proclaimed : "We have never seen anything like this. So different and fun!! " But, guess what...you don't have to come all the way from Maine to see us when we are right here in your own backyard! So, do take some time out and visit the Post. Folks hailed from Illinois, Texas, Ohio and lots from Nashville. They all found some super souvenirs and fun decorative craft pieces for their homes and gifts for loved ones. We had such a grand time with everyone!!

Our visitor from Texas was a real piece of cake and told me: "Savannah, the quickest way to double your money is to fold it and put it back into your pocket."

His wife chimed in and said, "And, he has also learned not to kick a cow chip on a hot day." They were quite the couple!! My grandpa was there at the time and said, "Well, I guess you've also learned 'never to squat with yor spurs on!!" (I never know what Grandpa will say next.....excuse me, will somebody come and get Grandpa ??!!)
Like they say, "Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift!"
