Through Dec. 18
Knoxville - The classic book, A Christmas Carol is brought to the stage as an annual favorite 7:30 p.m. ET Wednesdays to Saturdays and 2 p.m. ET and 7:30 p.m. ET Sundays at Clarence Brown Theatre.

Through Jan. 8, 2017
Knoxville - Holidays on Ice is an outdoor skating rink donned with lights and music on Market Square in downtown Knoxville. Regular hours are 4-9 p.m. ET Mondays to Thursdays (extended hours are 1-9 p.m. ET Dec. 19-Jan. 8); 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET Fridays and Saturdays; Sundays 1-9 p.m. ET Nov. 25-Dec. 18.

Dec. 2-5
Lewisburg - A Christmas Story kicks off the holiday season presented 7-9 p.m. CT Monday, Fridays and Saturdays and 2-4 p.m. Sundays by the Marshall County Community Theatre at the Dixie Theatre.

Dec. 5, 12, 19
Vonore - Take a Cherokee language class 6:30-9 p.m. ET at the Sequoyah Birthplace Museum. The class is $50.

Dec. 1
Cookeville - In the spirit of the season, join local farmers for a charity Farm to Fork Dinner 6 p.m. CT at Back Room Bistro. Tickets are $50/pair, $30/individual. Each ticket purchased provides two warm meals during a community meal on Dec. 24 for the homeless or those without.

Dec. 1-2
Cookeville - Feel festive with your furbaby with Pet Photos with Santa! noon to 7 p.m. CT at Dog & Co. on Jefferson. All proceeds go to A.A.R.F. (All About Rescues and Fixin').

Dec. 1-30
Nashville - Tuna Does Vegas is an hilarious play performed with dinner at 6 p.m. CT and show at 8 p.m. CT Thursday-Saturday nights, noon CT show for Thursday matinees and noon dinner with 2 p.m. CT show for Sunday matinees at the Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre.

Dec. 2
Baxter - Model trains and refreshments at the depot along with Christmas floats, antique cars, tractors, motorcycles, music and more exude the Christmas spirit for the annual Baxter Christmas Parade at 7 p.m. CT.
Murfreesboro - A Holiday Homecoming: Christmas at Oaklands Gala welcomes the holiday season with music, cuisine and more 7 p.m. CT at the Oaklands Mansion.

Nashville - Be one of the first to try this year's Chaiwalker beer, a collaborative drink by Firepot Nomadic Teas and Jackalope Brewing Company 5-7 p.m. CT at Jackalope Brewing Company.

Oak Ridge - Celebrate the 100th birthday of the National Park Service through cuisine, music, a photography exhibition and a surprise for Gala attendees during the annual Gala Evening 5:30-9:30 p.m. ET at The Children's Museum of Oak Ridge. Tickets are $125.

Dec. 2-3
Savannah - Christmas on Main has ice skating, carriage rides, Santa and Mrs. Claus, arts and crafts and more 5-8 p.m. CT in downtown Savannah.
Spencer - Christmas on the Mountain is a weekend of Yuletide fun including music, crafts, storytelling, breakfast with Santa and a mountain craft show at Fall Creek Falls State Park.

Dec. 2-11
Spring City - Babes in Toyland is the classic story of Barnaby, Mistress Mary Quite Contrary, and the many characters of Mother Goose Land performed 7:30 p.m. ET Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. ET Sundays at the Tennessee Valley Theatre.

Dec. 3
Algood - It's a "Holly, Jolly Christmas" with small-town charm as the Algood Christmas Parade kicks off the holiday excitement followed by a program and tree lighting at 5 p.m. CT. Refreshments are provided.

Chattanooga - The Chattanooga Market moves its local shopping experience indoors for the holiday season 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. ET through Dec. 18 at the Chattanooga Convention Center.

Cookeville - Join Santa, his elves and even live reindeer for the Cookeville Depot Christmas Open House 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. CT. (Santa will take a cookie break noon to 1 p.m.) at Cookeville Depot Museum. Enjoy refreshments, caroling and a model train.
Jackson - Enjoy Christmas in the City with vendors, reindeer, Santa and more 11 a.m. CT at the West TN Farmers Market.

Monterey - The Town of Monterey kicks-off their Christmas celebrations at 8 a.m. CT with Christmas Home & Hearth Market and Santa at the Depot. The day's festivities conclude with the annual Monterey Christmas Parade at 6:30 p.m. CT.

Murfreesboro - The Holiday Open House includes photos with Santa, giant gingerbread house decorating, healthy tips for the holidays and more 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT at the Discovery Center.

Nashville - Blair Suzuki Strings Holiday Concert performs Christmas songs as part of the annual holiday tradition 2 p.m. CT at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts.

Nashville - A Holiday Pop-Up event takes place featuring local Nashville vendors and complimentary sips and bites from Carter's 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. CT at Union Station Hotel's Nashville Lobby.

Silver Point - The inaugural Lighting of the Tower, an old time Christmas celebration includes hayrides, Santa, homemade cookies and hot chocolate, tree decorating, music and caroling. The festivities culminate with the lighting of the observation tower 6-8 p.m. CT at Edgar Evins State Park.

Dec. 3-23
Nashville - The holiday tradition of Music City's history woven into Nashville's Nutcracker is performed 2 p.m. CT Wednesdays to Sundays and 7 p.m. CT Fridays to Sundays by the Nashville Ballet through Dec. 23 at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center.

Dec. 3-4, 10-11
Jefferson City - Enjoy a self-guided tour of Glenmore Mansion during the Glenmore Mansion Holiday Tour with hot wassail and Victorian-style sweets 1-5 p.m. ET; and then take a candlelight tour 7-9 p.m. ET at Glenmore Mansion.

Dec. 4
Cookeville - Join thousands to experience Cookeville's Christmas in the Park. Festivities begin with the 50th annual Cookeville Christmas Parade at 3 p.m. CT followed by a "Whoville-like" evening of enchantment with a Christmas Tree lighting ceremony with Santa, collaboration of school and community choirs, along with a community Christmas Celebration Service in the park 6 p.m. CT in Dogwood Park.

Memphis - Celebrate the holidays with a warm drink, make a custom set of ornaments and shop in the Holiday Store as part of the Holiday Open House noon to 5 p.m. CT at the Metal Museum.

Dec. 5
Maryville - Enjoy the charm of the City of Maryville Tree Lighting & Music 6:30 p.m. ET at the end of the pedestrian bridge across from the Blount County Public Library.

Nashville - Dec. 5, 1933 at 5:32 p.m. was the day Prohibition was repealed. Patrons can celebrate with hors d'oeuvres and cocktails mixed by renowned Nashville bartenders Jonathan Howard, John Peet, and Riley Perrin during the Repeal Day Party 5:32-8:32 p.m. CT at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts.
Nashville - An Evening with David Crosby & Friends features a four-piece band performance that spotlight's Crosby's songwriting and vocals 7:30 p.m. CT at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.

Dec. 6
Athens - Enjoy a performance by Chattanooga Symphony & Opera Wind Quintet, which will perform a variety of pieces including classical and pops selections and holiday favorites as part of the Arts on the Side series noon ET at The Arts Center.

Knoxville - Mike Birbiglia brings his comedy show "Thank God for Jokes" 8 p.m. ET with doors open at 7 p.m. ET to the U.S. Cellular Stage at the Bijou Theatre.
