The Cannon County Board of Education will conduct in-person interviews on Thursday for the position of Cannon County Director of Schools.

The three finalists for the position are William (Freddy) Curtis, Karen King and Jason Scarbrough.

Curtis is currently the interim director of schools. King is principal at West Side School. Scarbrough is principal at Inman Middle School in Paris, Tenn.

The interviews will be conducted at the school system's Central Office on Main St. beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The board narrowed the list of candidates from nine to the final three during a special session Tuesday night.

A special session of the board has already been set for Thursday, March 29, at Woodbury Grammar School, at which time the board will consider, and appoint, the next director.

The board will also hold a special session on Tuesday, March 27, at the Central Office for final discussion and consideration of the remaining candidates.
