PrintA Woodbury man was killed in a motorcycle accident on Old Woodbury Pike off State Highway 1 on Saturday night (June 9), according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
According to the preliminary report filed by Trooper Whitney Stooksbury, Johnny H. Jones was traveling southbound on Old Woodbury Pike at around 7:39 p.m. on a 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle when he ran off the right side of the road and struck a guardrail.
Stooksbury's report indicates Jones became airborne and landed on an embankment. The incident occurred near where Old Woodbury Pike intersects with Bivins Hill Road in the Readyville area of Rutherford County.
No other vehicles were involved, the report states.
