Thomas Edward "Tom" Swider

Graveside services for Thomas Edward "Tom" Swider, 65, of Paris, Tenn., will be held at noon Monday, Oct. 7, 2013 at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of services.

A Garden City, Mich., native, he died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013 at his home in Paris. Tom was raised as a Catholic and was retired from Garden City, Mich. as a police officer. An avid hunter, fisherman, loved all sports and the Wild West. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Pauline Mason Swider.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Allen Swider of Paris, Tenn.; children, Kimberly Fisher and Michael (Tina) Fisher, all of Paris, John Fisher of Nashville and Jeffrey (Michelle) Swider of Michigan; grandchildren, Dustin and Courtney Fisher; and in-laws, Robert and Sara Allen of Paris.
