Count of homeless neighbors to be conducted:
Community assistance is needed.
More than 500,000 people - a quarter of them children - were homeless in the United States this year. The United States Interagency Council on Homelessness has developed a national strategic plan to end homelessness for families, youth, and children in 2020. The plan is based on the belief that "no one should experience homelessness, no one should be without a safe, stable place to call home."
