Beginning at 1 p.m. the singing will feature the Harmony Echos. Everyone is welcome. The church is located between Woodbury and Auburntown on Highway 145.

Art Display
Adams Memorial Library
March 17-April 4
Children of all ages are asked to bring a piece of their artwork to be displayed on the display walls in the McBroom- Stone Youth Reading Area in the Adams Memorial Library. Display will start March 17 and continue until April 4. There is no deadline for bringing artwork in. Come see what our young artists can do!

Audit Committee to Meet

The Cannon County Audit Committee
will meet in a Special Session on Tuesday, April 1 at 1 p.m. in the meeting room of the Woodbury City Hall. This meeting will begin as a closed meeting with the State Audit Team. After that business is completed, the meeting will then be open to the public.

"The Boys Next Door"

This very funny yet very touching play focuses on the lives of four mentally challenged men who live in a communal residence under the watchful eye of a sincere, but increasingly despairing, social worker. Filled with humor, the play is also marked by the compassion and understanding with which it peers into the half-lit world of its handicapped protagonists.
Show times and dates are April 4, 5, 11, 12, 18 & 19 at 7:30 pm and April 6 & 13 at 2:00 pm

Caring for Caleb Benefit

A benefit for Caleb Milligan, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor, to help raise money for medical expenses Saturday April 5 at Cannon County Community Center noon until 7 p.m. Free Admission with live bands starting at noon including The Busks, Hey Church, the Gilley Brothers and the Pleasant View Baptist Worship Team.
Barbecue plates will be served for $9 including sandwich, two sides and drink. A live auction will begin at 3 p.m. A cornhole tournament and games for the kids are planned.

Stones River Relay 2014,
Race to the Mill

Arts Center Of Cannon County, 1424 John Bragg Highway, Woodbury.
Entrants are welcome to participate in 1 or all 3 legs of the relay.
This is a fun, family event. Some do enter competitively. Both children and adults are encouraged to register. However, no children under 6 years old. Children 6-12 years of age must be accompanied by a parent, or designated guardian.
The Relay is a community event focused on getting people outside and onto the River. Beginning on Short Mountain – the highest point in Middle Tennessee – the Relay has three stages. The first leg is a run (mostly downhill). Stage two is a bike ride (again mostly downhill). Stage three is a paddle (downstream) : entrants will switch to canoes or kayaks at the Arts Center of Cannon County. At that location the River is deep and wide enough to accommodate a flotilla of paddlers who will work their way downstream ultimately exiting the River at the newly restored Readyville Mill.
Check-in on Event Day will be 8 to 8:30 a.m. at the Arts Center. Boats will be inventoried there; participants and their bicycles will be shuttled to the Short Mountain School where bikes will be inventoried; runners will then be driven to the top of Short Mountain to the Relay starting point. The Run – first leg of the Relay – will begin at 9:30 a.m.

Bro. Richard Bowman, Berea Church of Christ in Warren County, will be guest speaker. Bro. Johnny D. Reed will be song leader at the Church of Christ at Wood, 99 Sally Parton Road, Woodbury. Sunday: Bible study at 10 a.m. Sunday worship at 11 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday 7 p.m. A fellowship meal will follow the Sunday morning service.

The last day to register to vote in the May 6 election is Monday, April 7 at the Election Commission Office. Registration by mail forms must also be submitted by this date.
