Class of 1958 Woodbury Central High School

The balance is of the class’ bank account is $651.90 and some of our class members have agreed to give this money to the library to buy micro film of the History of Cannon County.  The cases holding these films will have the names of remaining members of our class. If another class reunion is planned you will be notified in the Cannon Coutier.

Lions Club Sight Screening

The Lions Club Sight and Hearing Van will be in Cannon County for their annual screening of students..  The Woodbury Lions Club will need some club members to help as they work the following screening schedule: Oct. 8 at West Side School then the Auburn School starting at 8 a.m.  Oct. 9 the van will be at the East Side School then Short Mountain school.  Oct.10 at Woodland School.  The screenings will finish up at the Woodbury Grammar School at 8 a.m. Oct. 11 and Cannon County High School on Oct. 12.  The program affects the lives of hundreds of Cannon County students.  Each year the Lions Club finds students who have serious vision problems that simple glasses would make it possible for better grades

Anchor of Hope Independent Baptist, 735 Doolittle Road, Woodbury will be hosting a benefit chili supper on Oct. 12 beginning at 5 p.m.

Clear Fork United Methodist, Saturday, Oct. 12

Clear Fork United Methodist Church will serve supper from 4 to 6 p.m. An auction fund-raiser will follow at 6:16. The church is located on Big Hill Road in Gassaway.

It’s time for our 45th reunion, Woodbury Central High School class of 1968 on Saturday, October 19 beginning at 6:00 p.m. Dress is casual at First Baptist Church, Woodbury.
