Audit Committee to Meet, Thursday, May 23
The Cannon County Audit Committee will meet in a regular session Thursday May 23, 2013 at 6 p.m. in the courtroom of the Cannon County Courthouse.

Hike the Headwaters, Saturday, May 25
Hike the Headwaters Wildlife Management Area (WMA) with TWRA Officer Mark Vance and Neal Appelbaum on Saturday, May 25 from 8:30a.m. to 11a.m. Meet in Cannon County on Stones River Road at the WMA. Be prepared for an uphill, brambly 2 hour hosted hike. Bring water. Wear appropriate shoes and clothes. This is the first guided interpreted tour of this 266 acre portion of the new WMA. Cruis'in on the Square, Saturday, May 25
Cruis'in on the Square kicks off in Woodbury from 4 to 7:30 p.m. All cars, trucks and motorcycles are welcome. The shinier the better. This event is held every fourth Saturday April through October. Memorial Day Trail Ride, Saturday, May 25-27
Sponsored by the Cannon County Walking Horse Association, the ride leaves the fair grounds in Woodbury at 11 a.m. and continues to the campgrounds on Short Mountain. Enjoy trail riding, camping, a horse show, dancing and more. Visit the website at www.ccwhaoftn.info.

Parables of Jesus is the theme at Ivy Bluff Church of Christ Vacation Bible School May 26-29 beginning at 7:00 p.m. each evening. Classes for all ages.

Once again over the Memorial Day weekend people from out of town will be visiting relations in this area. The library will be open to help those researching family history on Monday, Memorial Day, May 27. The hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The library is open to researchers only. HayDay, Growing in Friendship with Jesus is this year’s theme at Woodbury First United Methodist Church, 502 West High Street. Dates are Friday, Jay 31 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Saturday, June from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and Sunday, June 2 at 11:00 a.m. in the Worship Service.

Annual Fishing Rodeo, Saturday, June 8
The second annual Fishing Rodeo, sponsored by the TWRA and American Legion Post 279, will be held on Stones River at Dillon Park.
