Terrified Woman Reports Assault

A Bradyville man was charged with domestic assault recently following an incident which left the purported victim extremely terrified.

Billy F. Markum, 234 Petty Gap Rd., Bradyville, was taken into custody by Cannon County Sheriff’s Sgt. Lawrence Avera on June 25.

Markum was allegedly heard on a 911 call made by the victim telling her, “I’m gonna kill you. I’m gonna cut your head off.”

The victim was heard screaming, “Please, please don’t. Please don’t hurt me.”

The victim was crying and sounded extremely terrified of Markum during the call, according to Sgt. Avera’s report.

Markum’s bond was set at $2,500. Initial court date is July 12.
