A spokesperson for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Saturday morning it is unlikely any new information about its investigation into a death in Cannon County will be released this weekend.

The investigation by the TBI began late this week and few details have been released so far.

"We don't have much (information) to offer right now, other than to confirm that, at the request of District Attorney General Jennings Jones, TBI Agents are currently investigating an apparent homicide in the 800 block of Sunny Slope Drive in Woodbury," TBI public information officer Josh DeVine said Friday morning.

The TBI has not named either the identity of the victim nor any probable suspect or suspects.
