MURFREESBORO - Shop smart and win at Stones River Mall this Tax-Free Weekend! Your local style center is giving away $3,500 in prizes and gift cards between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3.

Door-busters worth up to $250 will be given to the first 200 shoppers (18 years and older) who line up before 9 a.m. between Chuck E. Cheese and Bath & Body Works, located near the main entrance.

Shoppers can also pick up a Savings Report Card in Center Court. Show four receipts dated Aug. 3, have the Savings Report Card stamped, and be entered to win an iPad Mini or a $250 Stones River Mall Shopping Spree.
Representatives from Murfreesboro City Schools, MTSU Athletics, Johnny Guitar's and Nossi College of Art will be on-hand to answer questions and provide information about upcoming semesters. Additionally, teammates from Blackman Youth Football League will host a meet-and-greet during the event, as Stones River Mall has sponsored a team this season.

"We really want this celebration to be a community-wide event," says Melinda Hudgins Noblitt, marketing manager for Stones River Mall. "Shoppers have many retail options in Rutherford County, and we appreciate their support of Stones River Mall as their style center."

The State of Tennessee's Annual Sales Tax Holiday is held every year on the first Friday in August and ends the following Sunday night. This year's tax-free holiday weekend begins at 12:01 a.m on Friday, Aug. 2, and ends Sunday, Aug. 4, at 11:59 p.m. Find out which items are exempt from sales tax by visiting http://tn.gov/revenue/salestaxholiday/

Stones River Mall will offer extended hours during Tax-Free Weekend. Shoppers can visit the mall from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and from noon to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
