Suspicious Person Found In Possession Of Stolen Car

A report of a suspicious person at the Quick Shop Market on East Main St. recently led to the arrest of a Georgia man.

Woodbury Police Sgt. Kevin Mooneyham responded to the call at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 11.

He found Thomas Corey Paine, 7444 Mossdale Way, Columbus, GA to be in possession of a 1999 silver Chrysler 300.

While checking information on the Paine and the vehicle, it was discovered that the car was reported stolen out of Columbus by Debra Panter, who is Paine's stepmother.

Paine was charged with Theft Over $1,000. He was booked at the Cannon County Jail. His bond was set at $5,000.

He is scheduled to appear in Cannon County General Sessions Court on Nov. 9.

The person that picked up Brian Kite was in a silver car, wasn't that in the text message from his phone? I'd send that car through a forensics test that would last for days.
