Front, Wednesday’s (Aug. 20) sudden wind storm combined with heavy rain uprooted or snapped a number of trees in Woodbury, including (above) a tree that nearly smashed a propane tank at 207 E. High St. The big tree also split a wooden shed into in the back yard of this home. Rain fall totals equalled 1.28 inches during the outburst caused by a front moving through the area.

Above, the storm snapped two Bradford Pear trees on Hill Street. One blocked the street completely forcing a Town of Woodbury crew in to remove it.  Doolittle Road, outside the Woodbury city limits, was also blocked by fallen trees.
