The first Stones River Relay, sponsored by the Stones River Watershed Association, was held Saturday. Beginning on Short Mountain – the highest point in Middle Tennessee – the Relay had three stages.

The first leg was a run (mostly downhill). Stage 2 was a bike ride (again mostly downhill).

Following the running and biking legs of the Stones River Relay, participants took to the river for a float.
